Biddeford Middle School Kindness Crew: What We Are All About!

OUR MISSION: To make Biddeford Middle School the “Kindest” Middle School in Maine!

Biddeford Middle School has begun a year-long initiative under the guidance of Michael Chase, founder of The Kindness Center. Micheal and his BMS “KindnessCrew” have made it their mission to make Biddeford Middle School the “kindest school in Maine!

Michael began The Kindness Center with the vision creating a more peaceful and kindhearted world. His “LivingKindness” philosophy is a proven method for developing an environment that is kind, compassionate and fun to learn in. For more information about The Kindness Center, you may visit: www.thekindnesscenter.com

Several generous supporters have been instrumental in bringing the Kindness Center to Biddeford Middle School. We would like to thank Dave and Sandy Perloff and the Perloff Family Foundation, the Maine Community Foundation, the Biddeford Middle School PTO, and the BMS Chapter of Youth Organizing for Better Opportunities (YOBO). If it were not for thier kindness, this program would not be possible.

Michael J. Chase\’s Kindness Presentation to the Biddeford School Community, August 27, 2008

Welcome to the New Biddeford Middle School Kindness Crew Blog!

This Blog was created on December 6, 2008, and we hope that it will grow to reflect the vibrant Kindness Initiative currently at Biddeford (Maine) Middle School.  We will soon post results of a student Kindness Survey, a teacher Kindness Survey, videos of Michael J. Chase’s presentation to our students in October 2008, a listing of BMS Kindness Crew members.

Our first BLOG asks the question:  Tell us how YOU have contributed toward the BMS Kindness Initiative thus far this year!  It may be through helping with the initiative itself, attending Kindness Crew meetings or through acts of kindness for fellow students, teachers, parents, or community members.
